September is here again,

my favorite pumpkin spice latte season-

yes, I can accept I am basic.

We wanted to head to the late for one last hurrah,

but waking to a child vomiting on you

slows those plans to halt.

Instead, we began the laborious chore of moving the children’s bedrooms.

All the while,

I reviewed the proof that came in the mail

for my next release,

finding tiny typos that always seem to get away.

It took the entire day,

but I got through the book and thankfully,

it didn’t have too many (that I could see!)

I’d also thrown caution to the wind

and tried my hand at putting a book up for free,

To be floored by how many people were willing

to buy my book when it costs them nothing.

Maybe, they will go and try my other ones,

but it was pleasant to see,

especially when I looked to find I’ve crested 2,200 downloads since this morning- and I’m #60 of all books in the free kindle store.

May not be much, but that’s huge for me!

And tomorrow is day two of the sale.

I passed my goal by ten today,

so everything from then onward is gravy.
