Halfway through another week,
But my brain won’t stop racing.
Full of my list and my have to’s
While I dream of everything
I’d rather be doing.
They say life is what happens
while you’re making other plans
But I’ve been trying harder
to live each day to the fullest
To hold my children tight
And show my family every day
how much they mean to me
Too many times I watch
as devastation
befalls those who neither deserve
nor contributed to their outcomes
As though fate had spun
the roulette wheel
And they bust
Tonight we ate outside
Enjoying the sun
After a week of rain
Watching as it peeked through
Then was gone, again
Live life for the sunny moments
And I’ll keep dancing in the rain

Your words again are pushing me,Heather, in a good way. I too get weighed with others’ plights. The rain in my area has been heavy, but other areas close by have had flooding. Carrying your last line with me today.
Thank you.
Good luck today! I hope my words help 🙂
