A typical Monday

Another winters’ day, colder than I’d like, with the crunch of snow and the bite of the arctic in the air.

I hate going outside when it’s like that,

And yet,

it’s so pretty I can’t help but marvel at the sharp edges on everything.

The air smell so crisp, like frozen life and sunshine.

A typical Monday, it was all work, then kids activities, supper, books and bed. A never ending circle of daily life.

And yet,

It was amazing watching my children learn new skills, to exercise with full hearts and all the joy small children have with every activity,

It was heartwarming to interact with other humans, who have lives as rich and vibrant as my own, to be allowed a chance to be a small part of that, to provide aid and solace.

It was overwhelming to send my third book baby out into the world on preorder, dressed in a fancy jacket with all the words I could think of to give my story life on the inside, with the hopes that will make its own way in the world, and that one person will love it as much as I do.

A typical Monday,

Indeed.
